Supervisor’s Weekly Update October 27, 2023!
We are pleased to announce that we have submitted a tax cap compliant 2024 Tentative Town Budget for the thirteenth year in a row. Thank you to all the department heads and staff who worked together to formulate this responsible budget that lowers both the Town Wide and Unincorporated Area tax rates by approximately 6% .
The 2024 Tentative Town Budget is available in the Town Clerk’s Office at 16 Croton Avenue, the Ossining Public Library, and online at www.townofossining.com.
The Ossining Town Board will be discussing the Supervisor’s Tentative Budget with our department heads during the week of October 30th on the following days and times, via Zoom and in-person at the Ossining Municipal Building, 3rd Floor Conference Room, at 16 Croton Avenue:

The Mike Risko Band will be performing on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM at 1500 Baldwin Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
Bethany Tweenz + Teenz: After-School Art Workshop will be on Friday, October 27, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bethany Arts Community Center.
On Friday, October 27, at 7:30 PM, at the Ossining Boat and Canoe Club, there will be a presentation on Sparta Artist Alfred Agate and the US Exploring Expedition of 1838-1842.
There will be Halloween Dance Party on Friday, October 27, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Grace Hall.
Sing Sing Kill Brewery will be presenting Halloweemo on Friday, October 27th, from 8 PM to 9 PM.
The 2023 Youth MedTech Conference will be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 28, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Mercy University Rotunda, Mercy Hall, 555 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522.
The Westchester Collaborative Theater presents Peter Calo & Anne Carpenter on Saturday, October 28, at 7:30 PM.
Be part of the Spooktacular Fall Fest on October 28th, from 12 PM to 5 PM at Ryder Park.
Mike Risko Music hosts their annual Rocktober event at the Mike Risko Music School on Saturday, October 28th, from 12 PM to 3 PM.

Ossining Networking Events Fall Calendar
The Hudson Valley Books for Humanity is hosting a book launch event featuring Sean Harvey’s 'Warrior Compassion' on Sunday, October 29, from 4 PM to 5:30 PM.
Ossining Recreation and Parks is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat this Tuesday October 31st, from 6 PM to 8 PM.
NFL SUNDAYS happen every Sunday at the Sing Sing Kill Brewery from 1 PM until closing.
Mike Risko Music presents the Musician Toolkit Series, a roadmap for emerging bands workshop unveiling the local gig circuit on Wednesday, November 1st, from 7:30 PM to 8 PM.
Mike Risko Music presents "Welcome to the Musical Instrument Zoo" at Mike Risko Music from 10 AM to 11 AM.
The film screening of "Attica" will be held on November 2nd at 6 PM at the Budarz Theater. Please register on their website or scan the QR code to attend.
The Sing Sing Prison Museum will host a fundraising event on November 2nd at the Ossining Public Library, starting at 5:30 PM.

Neighbors Link with Westchester Community College will be having ESL classes for beginners Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting November 8th.

The 2023 Campwoods Holiday Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 11th, from 10 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday, November 12th, from 11 AM to 4 PM
The League of Women Voters of the Rivertowns will be meeting on November 16 at the Ossining Public Library Auditorium at 6:45 PM. Assembly Member Dana Levenberg and Assembly Member MaryJane Shimsky will be having a conversation with NYS Senator Shelley Mayer.
There is a free Parkinson's dance class every Tuesday from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, from September 12th to December 19th, at the Bethany Arts Community Center.
The Old Mill Singers are looking for people to join them; all levels are welcomed. Rehearsals will be held every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at St. Paul's on the Hill.
The Golden Door Support Program is a free mental health support program for all New York state residents that aims to help achieve stability for you and your family, regardless of immigration status.
