📢 Air Quality Health Advisory for New York State, June 30, 2023!
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Department of Health (DOH) have issued an advisory for air quality across the state. Unhealthy AQI levels are forecasted for Western and Central NY and Eastern Lake Ontario regions, with potential health effects for all individuals and more serious effects for sensitive groups.
The remaining regions of the state will experience 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' AQI levels, with potential health effects for sensitive groups.
The main pollutant of concern is Fine Particulate Matter, resulting from Canadian wildfires.
The advisory will be in effect from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
Stay informed and take necessary precautions to safeguard your health during this period.
