What is NY State of Health?
NY State of Health provides one-stop shopping for health insurance coverage, assisting individuals and businesses in easily comparing health plan options, enrolling in qualified health plans, and sharing information about available tax credits and cost-sharing subsidies. NY State of Health has two programs: the Individual Marketplace and the Small Business Marketplace for employers with 50 or fewer employees.
NY State of Health Enrollment
Open Enrollment begins October 1, 2013. Individuals may enroll in health plans during open enrollment, which spans from October 1, 2013 - March 31, 2014, or with a qualifying event. Individuals who qualify for Medicaid/CHP may enroll any month of the year. Small employers may choose open enrollment dates for their employees any month of the year.
NY State of Health Web Portal
The NY State of Health Web Portal makes it easy to shop, compare, and enroll. This one portal processes applications for Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Individual Marketplace, and Small Business Market Place. Visit www.nystateofhealth.ny.gov for more information.
NY State of Health Customer Service Call Center
The NY State of Health Customer Service Call Center offers access to Exchange experts to assist in answering questions and enrolling in NY State of Health. Customer service is proved in over 170 languages. The Center is open Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm and can be reached at 1-855-355-5777.
