FREE Fitness Classes Offered in Ossining
The Town of Ossining and Open Door Family Medical Center have teamed up for the fourth consecutive year to offer Mind, Body, Spirit, Ossining — a series of FREE, outdoor community exercise classes taking place throughout Ossining’s beautiful parks and open spaces. Kicking off mid-June, the program is a joint effort of local businesses and organizations committed to encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyles for all community members.

Trained fitness instructors will lead free classes for people of all ages, shapes and skill levels. Participants can learn new, fun ways to improve their overall health and wellness and receive information about other wellness opportunities offered by the Town of Ossining, Open Door, Studio95 Zumba, Solarah Delphi, Delphi Dance Ensemble, Ben Leavitt, UMAC Briarcliff, Club Fit, and Crossover Yoga.
Mind, Body, Spirit Classes
All classes are FREE and open to the public. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver to participate.
Walk-ins welcomed – no advance registration is required to participate in any of the classes.

The Town of Ossining invites local wellness and fitness businesses to participate in of Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining. In its fourth year, Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining is the product of important partnerships between the Town of Ossining, Open Door Family Medical Center, and local businesses, aiming to promote community health and economic development.
Local businesses choose a weekend time-slot and a Town or Village park or open space to offer a free class to the public. Participants gain important skills about improving their health and wellness, and learn more about offerings of Ossining’s great local businesses and beautiful parks.
Local businesses are encouraged to reach out to Victoria Cafarelli in the Town Supervisor’s Office with a proposal for a class, along with a preferred park/open space and dates. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Mind, Body, Spirit – Ossining events will be scheduled on weekends beginning Saturday, June 15th and ending Sunday, September 29th. Events are promoted in weekly Supervisor’s Updates, the Town of Ossining Facebook page, and summer program calendar shared with families in the Ossining School District. Club Fit Instructors led monthly workouts for all ages, ranging from yoga at the waterfront to self defense at Sparta Park;

Enrique Rosario from ICU Fit Training held Mother’s Day and Father’s Day workouts for Ossining’s superstar caregivers, as well as other specialized workouts throughout the summer and fall;

Sue Radparvar of Studio95 Zumba hosts her popular Saturday afternoon Zumba workouts, stay tuned for some new offerings from Sue, including Zumba toning, Strong by Zumba, and Zumba Kids;

Delphi Dance Ensemble led free belly dance classes in June and July, come to learn basic belly dance moves and boost your self-confidence; and

Americorps Members with Open Door Family Medical Center offered special Recess Rocks workouts for kids, keeping recess and wellness going all summer long.
