Congratulations to Optimum for their new location in the arcadian shopping center and meet Stéphane Matteau on Friday May 19 from 6-7 PM at their Grand Opening at 8230 S Highland Ave, Ossining, NY 10562
On Wednesday, May 24 at 4:30 PM The Village of Ossining will be dedicating a pollinator garden to Sandy Galef , or formally assemblywoman for her outstanding leadership and decades long public service.
Students on the EAC will have the opportunity to learn about meaningful environmental issues and explore town policies, such as the protection of our trees, wetlands and other natural resources.
The EAC meets monthly where student participation is encouraged. M.S. and H.S. members are given opportunities to create impactful, self-driven projects. All volunteer work counts towards community service hours.
If you are a 6th-10th grader from Anne M. Dorner Middle School or Ossining High School and are interested in joining the EAC, please submit a letter with your contact information, and reasons for wanting to join the committee to Mitzi Elkes, Town of Ossining EAC Chairperson,.

The ever popular Westchester craft crawl will be back this weekend May 20th and 21st from 10 AM to 5 PM rain or shine. Each location hosts 12 or more. Artists have a great assortment of crafts to choose from. For more information click HERE

NECS invites you to their Spoken Word Event. They will have a poetry writing workshop for the first half hour, after which participants will be invited to present their poetry in an open mic fashion. If anyone wishes to present another art form, they would love that! Taking place on May 21 3-4:30 PM
Solo acoustic renditions of classic singer-songwriter, Americana, country and folk songs - all performed by Tom Schumacher, founder and lead singer/guitarist of Westchester’s own, The Barn Vultures. The Ossining Arts Council (OAC) and Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will present The 2023 Living Art Event (LAE), featuring OAC artworks and WCT one-act plays inspired by them, at the WCT black box performance space in downtown Ossining from May 12-21.
Join the Hudson Valley Books for Humanity on Friday May 19 for a moving exploration of the environmental and human impacts of the Vietnam War. Celebrated author George Black will read from his new book, The Long Reckoning: A Story of War, Peace, and Redemption in Vietnam. And journalist (and Ossining resident) Rene Ebersole will join George for a candid conversation before taking questions from the audience. Event is free; books will be available for purchase and signing.
Visit the Jewel of Teatown: Wildflower Island is a jewel afloat in Teatown Lake. More than 200 native wildflowers, trees, and shrubs come into bloom throughout the season. Join experienced guides for a tour, providing an in-depth look at the unique ecology of this sanctuary. This Event will take place on Saturday May 20 from 10 - 11 AM
